Warhammer 40K
It looks like actor Henry Cavill has found a new project to sink his teeth into after it became clear that he will neither return as Superman nor as the witcher Geralt of Rivia after the third season of the Netflix series The Witcher. The Hollywood Reporter now writes that Cavill may be eligible to appear in an upcoming television adaptation of the board game Warhammer 40,000.
According to the Hollywood Reporter’s sources, it is Amazon that plans to make a television series of the world’s most popular minifigure game. Cavill himself is said to be a fan of Warhammer 40,000 and to paint the figures available for the game. Warhammer 40,000 is set in an apocalyptic future where humans are at constant war with aliens and creatures possessing magical powers.
Amazon appears to be in the final stages of signing a Warhammer 40,000 contract with the game’s developer Workshop Games. However, there is so far no confirmed information from either Amazon or Workshop Games that the TV series will actually be released.
